Another early morning and we spotted a big flock of Cattle egrets. Hawfinch. Red-footed falcons. Lunch. A young European stonechat. The Little owl enjoying the sunset. Goodnight.
The weather forecast is turning around an reporting some bad weather coming in later this week, so we are up as early as possible and taking advantage of the early morning light. Little egret. Zitting cisticola. Cattle egret. Lunch break. White nutria. Bee-eater. Squacco heron.
Day 2 in Croatia and we are going birdwatching early morning. 1 of 4 (we have found) Little owls in this area. Bee-eater – fantastic bird and this is a great place to observe them. Third and last full day in Neusiedler See startet out foggy, but it quickly turned into a sunny day. Breakfast. Baking cookies. We spend the day with some bird photography, exploring the area and wine tasting 🙂 Easy dinner with some local sausage and a simple pasta salad.
Another day just doing nothing. Enjoying a slow breakfast. Baking a chocolate cake. Making risotto for dinner. Everything from Viggos pantry, because we forgot it was a public holiday today and we couldn’t go shopping for groceries 😉 Playing some boardgames and enjoying the nice evening outside listening for the Scops owls.
Today we are totally relaxing at the campsite. Porchetta/provolone/pesto-sandwich for lunch. Playing cards. Relaxing some more. Drinking wine and preparing dinner. Potaoes in the Omnia oven and cevapcici on the Skotti.
Last day in Italy and we are packing, cleaning and planing tomorrows drive. We are saying goodbye to Italy with a steak dinner 🙂
